Common questions

Questions people usually ask before calling.

These answers cover the basics. A live roadside situation is always specific to the vehicle, location and conditions, so call when you need a direct answer.

Driver getting help after a vehicle lockout
What information should I have when I call?

Your location, vehicle make and model, what happened and whether the vehicle is safely out of traffic. A nearby exit, landmark, cross street or map pin can help.

What kinds of roadside help does Alpha provide?

Alpha offers towing, jump starts, vehicle lockout help, emergency fuel delivery, vehicle recovery and tire changes. Call if you are unsure which one fits your situation.

Can I call if I do not know what is wrong with the car?

Yes. Explain what you noticed, such as clicking, warning lights, a flat tire or the engine not starting. You do not need to diagnose the problem yourself.

Which areas do you serve?

Alpha is based in Kent and serves Auburn, Renton, Seattle, Bellevue, Des Moines, SeaTac, Burien and nearby Washington areas. Call with your exact location to confirm availability.

Do I need a spare tire for a tire change?

A usable spare is normally needed for a roadside tire change. Tell us whether you have one and whether the vehicle is parked on level ground.

What should I do if the vehicle is in a dangerous position?

Put personal safety first. Move away from traffic if it is safe to do so. If there is immediate danger, a collision, injury or a vehicle blocking active traffic, contact emergency services.

Can every stuck vehicle be recovered immediately?

Recovery depends on access, ground conditions, traffic, vehicle position and equipment needs. Describe the scene clearly and share photos if requested so the situation can be assessed.

How do I get an exact price?

Call with the vehicle, pickup location, destination and situation. Those details are needed before an accurate price can be discussed.
